Hello from the Cataldo family! We’re Michael Sr., Michael Jr., Laura, and Cathleen, and together, we built The Pocono Barndominium from the ground up. This project is a true labor of love, blending our construction expertise with a passion for hospitality. As locals to the Jim Thorpe area, we take great pride in sharing not only our home but also our favorite local recommendations with every guest who stays with us.

Michael Sr. and Jr., founders of Cataldo Builders Inc., set out to create something truly unique in the Poconos. Their vision was to craft a home that combines farmhouse charm with modern functionality, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The barndominium, originally a post-frame structure typically used for warehouses or garages, was transformed into a luxurious retreat ideal for large groups to gather and create lasting memories.

Laura and Cathleen, a mother-daughter team, manage The Pocono Barndominium and several other vacation rental properties throughout the Poconos through their boutique co-hosting and vacation rental management company, Discovered In Travel Vacation Homes. They focus on the little details that elevate each guest’s experience, ensuring that every stay is the best vacation rental experience they’ve ever had.

Every nail, beam, and design element of this home was crafted by our family to create a space where people can gather, celebrate milestone moments, and create memories for years to come. We invite you to step inside, kick off your boots, and escape the everyday at The Pocono Barndominium.
